I've been getting failure to load errors on LJ all day- so far they have always loaded on a second try for me.

So long as it works AT ALL for ANYONE, the status page will say that LJ is working normally, but it's not.

There's nothing you can do but wait. My guess is that the servers are overloaded- whether due to normal traffic or a hacker attack.
