Feb. 15th, 2007 10:58 amWell, ehm, you all are awfully creative...shame on me, you see, at least an image. And it is more "mode" than "mood". My family usually yell - no no, do NOT be creative, mum - usually too late:-)
Just wanted to mention my weekend adventure: I was sent to Warsaw, Poland, with a delegation of 4 colleagues, all of us from the partner libraries of the British Council. To my utter delight we went by plane; this fact itself was enough for me to enjoy myself even during some tubulences ( but I am sick in everything which has wheels!).
Shock: Prague +8°, spring. Warsaw -11°, 0,5m snow, arctic wind. Bigger shock: no one from our group bothered to check on the weather and now we were all shivering and cursing. Double shock: British Council accommodated us in the INTERCONTINENTAL Hotel. WOW.WOW. Me: a hillbilly in a skyscraper - but a CREATIVE one, that I am, so everything was successful. Topic of this international meeting: E-learning. Big idea but still, books are books and I need people around in our library. And English IS a beautiful language, I talked to some British lecturers and it was very nice because they are always tolerant and pleasant.
And fresh papaya, melon and pineapple in chocolate fondue - ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh... So much for my CREATIVE approach to e-learning!
