I woke up in the dark. What the hell...?  One look out of a window - a white curtain of thick snow falling steadily in plenty, such heavy, wet megaflakes,  and you can´t even breathe. It is 0°C and you can´t see any difference between the sky and the ground - all grey white. The air prseesure is very low, even our furnace doesn´t work properly, the smoke keep returning down from the chimney and the fire has less oxigen to burn. I know, it may sound strange but believe me, after 30 years of living here, I have experienced this every time THIS kind of weather occurrs.
Tygr burst home through a catflap, looking offended and very wet. I have finished my cup of coffee and I am going to cook BIG SUNDAY LUNCH (Czech style). Good day to you! *Waving*

We have a saying here that if snow refuses to melt all in 1 warm day, like yesterday, that it is waiting for more. I have lots of snow waiting for more to arrive and the forecast says we will have it this afternoon. And since our weather patterns seem to be psycically connected I am waiting with some trepidation.Ah well I have plenty of knitting to do and I could always start striping the hall ready for new wall paper when I can get out again, and at least I won't starve. I don't like this winter at all.

I share your sentimest, Linda. Of course, I have much to do in the house too but I dislike being confined. The snow is melting, fuj, ugly stuff, but more and more new one comes in white torrents. This could be helpful in Australia now!

Smoke coming down the chimney is not good. At least you are aware of the problems and won't risk carbon monoxide poisoning.

True enough, fortunately there is no such danger. As soon as the furnace gets "kicked on" (?) it works properly but we can smell the smoke in the house some time.

How strange. But still, I like snow because it's so exotic for me, and I loved my three years in Germany.

Great weather for staying indoors. I hope you enjoyed your big Sunday lunch! - it's been much too hot here to even think about cooked meals.

Lunch was good but you are right, it was too rich for that blazing heat.
Really, we live in CONTRASTS! :-)

Strange it is, now it is raining but I go to bed. I wish the morning was better.

Sunday was really a bad day, I tell you. On the other hand, lunch was very good, thank you :-)
