I know I hven´t been posting but now I really need to share with you. There were two candidates for a Presidential post in CR. There is only one who can get back the Office of President its lost dignity and importance and to represent our country like an intelligent and competent person. If the worst comes, Mr. Babiš (hin name be cursed) will never be able to fulfill this post. I hope with my heart that Mr. Pavel will be that man our country has a dire need of. The results are beeing processed at the moment and I am too nervous to sit still. I eevn switched off everything - the radio, TV, I ignore the news on my PC. I hate all that clever debates and commentaries of experts. I a just an ordinary citisen who wishes the best for our country. I just...wanted to let you know. Will be back...as soon as the results are known. Sorry - this is not important for you, not even interesting, but I could not help posting...

 Suddenly, it is here. So, happy Solstice, my friends!
Accidentally, my grandson, little George (Jiří) is one year today - yes, the time goes by to fast!!!

 We had been planning my granddaughter´s summer visit in Spolí. The logistics was flawless! Marta and both children arrived on Saturday early in the morning. Marta and Kryštof stayed here overnight (and Anička) and I used this chance to leave for Třeboň late in the afternoon with my friend Marcela. However Marta and me were worried because Anicka came here with a cough. We decided to wait for morning. Otherwise Anička would stay with me for a week.
There is an annual summer music festival called "Around Třeboň" and she managed to get tickets for a great concert of three folk groups, two of them the best and oldest in CR! The concert took over three hours and it was FAN-TAS-TIC!!!! We knew lots of the songs and every one there was singing along and in the end there was a mighty chorus of hundreds of voices - it was in the open, in the chateau park. Standing ovations, people moved to tears, ME in tears, it was a marvelous atmosphere and it has something in common with our rebelious political atmosphere agains our PM and other corrupted politicians....
Everyone had been sleeping when I arrived. I opened all the windows to let colder night air in (we have had sweltering heat sent from the Sahara for more than a week again) and went too bed. I got up very early, it was a nice morning cold of 15°C, and took Rocky for his walk. With Anička, we can´t do this while she is here, we take him only for short walk on a lead. So I wanted him to enjoy "the last chance". We returned and the children were getting up. However Anička was unwell, pale and tired and with a higher temperature. So we decided not to risk anything and we cancelled the stay, putting it off for August. It is a  pity but I am glad - what would I do in case of any problems?

The place and time are different but the programme is the same. The songs are inspired by the MOravian folklore. All the musicians are "possessed" with music - simply brilliant!

 Hi, as I am not very skilled at searching here, please, can you tell me how to get to Naarmamo here on DW? I know I am silly...I haven´t realised it moved here until dear vilakins told me!
