Food at home!
Jul. 29th, 2008 07:27 amWell, we managed to get most of the hay to the right place - in a vast hole to change into silage. The food for our cattle for winter!
The weather is so promising that everyone hopes in saving most of the harvest. However the quality of grain is very poor. For our farm, it is all right, our grain is for the animals. But some farmers grow the crops for the food industry and they will not pass the strict criteria. Well, so bread will be more expensive again. Plus everything else. Our government is really excellent in rising the taxes, prices and pouring papers and clever speaches at people!
But - the sun is shinning and two days ago it didn´t look optimistic at all!

on 2008-07-29 08:35 am (UTC)Ours is about the same, I think that is the job of governments when there isn't a war to keep them occupied. I'm glad you finally got good weather, ours has well and truly broken, thunder rain and wind again, but preferable to the blistering humid heat we had Sunday.
