Morning surprise
Mar. 26th, 2008 06:59 amAt 5 in the morning I opened the door - shocking! More than 2cm of snow appeared overnight! Nice sight, very nice - but my journey to work was like a kind of adrenalin sport! The bus was literally skating on the road which was like a mirror. No traction!
The road goes down a hill with sharp bends and this place was decorated with at least 6 cars in various stage of disorder or damage with unhappy people around. Down the hill there was a big truck carrying live chicks and stuck helplessly. Mind you, the roads on "our side" are very poor and not suitable for big vehicles - the driver must have been out of his mind to use it. Now I am safe at work and thinking of my son, who will have to drive somewhere ...I am always worried but today it is even worse!
