WINTER!!!

It seems winter is here - with a lot of sound and light effects. It started yestersday in the afternoon with a wild snowstorm, then there was minus 6°C overnight and now there are numerous snow showers. Of course , as every year, there are traffic problems. Tomorrow I will await tpromised minus 13°C!

Minus 13 isn't a temperature it is a curse, I thought it was cold enough here and its not even 0 yet, according to the BBC forecast it's about 5 degrees. I've saved the first picture and one day I willtake it in to art class and askm Stewart if he thinks it's possible to reproduce it in paint and if yes how? I think it is beautiful.

Yes i just saw it. I want to do an oil paint of that photo, it might not be possible and if it is I will have to wait until next year when we will be doing oils.

I think it would be a good idea to try the same subject with other media first because the best way to understand an image is to draw it & then when you try oils you'll be more relaxed about it.

Watercolor for the color and pen & ink over that for the trees might be very effective.

Oh yes, very brrr but it is quite normal. What is not - those extremes in temperatures, which goes beth for winter and summer. And we definitely used to have more snow!
Brrr, I am a notorious "warm- lover"...
