Yesterday we supplied the wild animals, deer or hares, in a nearby forest. My daughter is also an amateur gamekeeper (as is my husband and my son) and everyone has her/his "feeding shelter" to take care of. We both brought a bic sack of hay there and a big plasctic bag full of hard bread. It was very cold but the sun was shinnig and the snow was glittering like diamonds.
I wrote a greetings for you with my finger, and made a picture of a place where the hares are mating, and also of Kendy the English setter.

It's a pity there were no hares there dancing but then they would have run away if there had been. I remember being on a very slow cross country train about 15 years ago and being held up for some reason. I was window gazing as usual and was amazed to see a couple of hares appear from the undergrowth and start their mating dance. The train didn't bother them and I had a wonderful view.
Poor Kendy, he looks like Losyn does whan we stop to chat with some one or when I'm taking photos. The 'I thought we were going for a walk so why are you standing there bothering with your toy when there are sniffs to be sniffed'. In other words totally fed up with humans who can't keep their minds on the important things in life like walking.

You have read him right,Linda, he was so eager to sniff that mating arena and we were keeping him! Well, and immediately after that he jumped in a shallow canal with running water, had a bath and his fur was hanging from him, frozen. Poor boy looked...RIDICULOUS!:-)

Wow ... Mad March Hares in the snow and in February! Interestingly enough I was looking through the photos I'd taken last year and spotted that by now we'd got daffodils and blossom out. This year seems to be being slow and cold in the UK. No more snow this week (even Horatio Hamster say so) but we aren't into March yet so who knows?

I agree! Our "weather wizzards" promise minus 20°C at night next days - enough to cold the Mad Hares slow:-)

Yes, Kendy looks very cared for. Wonder what Zoey would do in the snow besides get buried by it--she's never seen snow. Rain just about does her in.

Hello back at you! I should write it in sand, but I haven't been to the beach for a while.

Kendy is a lovely dog.

Pity I can't use it for Naarmamo.

Well, there may not be any snow in August for you to write in, but calligraphy would certainly have a place in NaArMaMo. :)

I love the photos! And 'hello' in return! Keiko does the exact same pose as Kendy - although she's not waiting for hares but for me to come out of the store. ;-)

Kendy would be crazy to play with Kei! Imagine Keiko here - open countryside with deer in plenty - the dogs would wave good-bye to us and CHASE.Badík the Labrador did it on Friday and we spent three hours looking for him. He returned though , profoundly ashamed!

Kei would absolutely love to play with Kendy! :-) Especially in the open countryside. Sounds like Badík had too much of a good time!
