Planning on phoning you once my sore throat has cleared up. (I didn't want to call again until we had sold the wretched house, as I'd only have been one long moan -but now it's all sorted!)

Oh dear, am I glad you managed that !!! I think you must be a nervous wreck now - even you. And I also didn´t want to add to your already difficult situation and so I didn´t mention it at all.

I took my friend Pam out for lunch yesterday.

She was trying to sell her father's house while I was trying to sell my mother-in-law's and we kept sharing our horror stories as one thing after another kept going wrong.

Then we both had problems buying places... Now, we're finally both stable again (in my case, I was buying for my daughter, Pam was moving to be closer to her daughter, who has multiple sclerosis and has to live in a care home.)
