It is here! Spring is here - or so I hope. Typically it arrived extremely fast and very warm. In the morning, we were wrapped in our winter coats and jackets. Lunch break - and there were short sleeves, all benches full of people, the outside cafeterias as well, and here the grass looks like grass again (= green).
We had a busy day in our library - a new copy machine arrived, and outcry of science, expensive and SOPHISTICATED. *Sigh* You know me - my style is "trial and error" - but I did the required copies for a customer!
We also had a talk about English Easter with hot cross buns and flower bonnets...I couldn´t attend, I never do because I am always on duty in the library and can only watch here and there thanks to our camera system (no sound). There were our two "star" native speakers, they were very good and people could sample the buns.
I was slightly annoyed, no, not because of the buns but I really miss spoken Englïsh and I am ALWAYS on duty. However both the lecturers came to say good-bye to me, so lovely, and I received one small bun too.
I made a new icon in the garden, lovely daisies, and I hope there will be more flowers soon because it will be warm!!!

Yay for warm weather for you at last!

Such a pity though that you have to miss all the talks, perhaps some clever person could fix it so that you have sound as well as vision when you are on duty in the library, or record it for you for later.

Yes, it is warm (so far) - hurrah!
Hmm, we talked about it but no waw getting lots of money only because one librarian wants to listen. And I can hear our "powers": why- she would not concentrate on her work, and after all, we do not have it either... ( our "powers" are the local university...no comment).

Hurrah for spring! We've had sunshine here, too - not always very warm, but just having the sun makes so much difference. I hope that your spring has come to stay.

Good luck with getting to grips with the new photocopier. Considering that, basically, all copiers are doing roughly the same sort of thing, it's amazing just how different it is to operate them all!

Yay spring!
Hahaha, you are right with the photocopier, this one has a touch screen but as soon as one stops panicking (because it looks like a spaceship control panel), it is not so bad:-)

Good spring is lovely, so are Hot Cross Buns I'm glad you got at least one. If the slugs would only leave them alone I would have a nice display of tulips to show you, I've put some animal friendly slug pellets out today, perhaps by Monday I might get a picture.

oh damn slugs and don´t tell me they are already out? I fought them last year with salt and quite sucessfully - made some salt belts because the slugs invade from the side of the pond. Ble, horrible creatures!
I hope you will get the pictures, I love the tulips. Mine are only about 5 cm now.

I have had one brave, and lucky, tulip in flower for about a week now. We did not have the snow forecast for last weekend and the weather has warmed up considerably so the little bud opened nicely. I have dozens ofother bulbs , semi domesticated bluebells, that they could eat and it wouldn't matter so much but no, those big black slimey monsters have to go for my tulips. Death to all slugs!!!!

Happy for you that spring seems to have arrived!! Lovely new icon!

Sorry you had to miss the talk. Maybe next year someone else can fill in for you so you can go and enjoy. *hug*

And hot cross buns - mmmm! :o)

*Hug* back - thank you, and mmmmm, really. Unfortunately no one will substitute me, we are only three of us : the boss, our new lady who can´t operate the library programme, and I. Hahaha, in a way I am a real VIP! :-)

Hot cross buns with butter melted into them: yum!

Perhaps you can hold one of the special events in the library. :-)

I have had no idea it could be so good! Yum, yum!
Alas, our library is very tiny. I will post some pictures in my next entry. You can´t swing a cat there - is this right? :-)

Were they cinnamon with sultanas? :-) Mmmmm.

Yes, that's right, but I hate the expression and don't use it.
