The elections are over! I am happy to announce that new President of the Czech Republic was elected Mr. Petr Pavel!!!
Now we ordinary people hope that those wild, dangerous and violent emotions will settle down. The defeated candidate and his supporters really managed to make a mess within our society...and people are very manipulative and the like "bread and circusses". Both our relatively new government and the new-to -be president (9th March is the inauguration) inherited a very difficult situation and weakened economy from the previous (Babiš´s!!!) government. I do hope they will be able to sail the wild waters safely...

I wish I could say we don’t like the violent, hostile, and aggressive style here, but ugh! Some people certainly do and seem to think that bullying others is ‘protecting freedom.’ It’s nasty and unpleasant and I wish it didn’t appeal to a segment of Americans but it does. :-(
